Stephen Newman, MD
Family Medicine, Primary CareI treat my patients with respect to their own circumstances, hopes, lifestyles and expectations. I believe it's important to consider a patient's individuality. Making patients feel comfortable is one of my biggest priorities; my patients tell me I'm a good listener. I think my sense of humor and ability to translate complicated medical problems into understandable language helps put them at ease.
I see all ages from newborns to elderly. I help those with chronic medical conditions, acute illness and injuries and talk about the importance of preventive medicine. I believe patients should participate in making decisions about their health care and I encourage them to gather as much information as they can about their medical problems and treatment options. My job is to help them sort through the information and make a decision that best suits their situation. After all, the patient is the most important member of the health care team.

Below is a list of plans accepted by all NorthBay Health providers unless designated as an independent community doctor.
While we strive to keep this list up to date, it's always a good idea to check with your health plan to determine the specific details of your coverage, and to contact the provider's office to verify acceptance of your particular plan.
