Internist Profile

My approach to medicine has always been that it is a very collaborative process with the patient. The patient has to take ownership of their health. If they want to do something, they will. We cannot force them to.

I like to find that middle ground where we can both work together. And I am big on developing strategies, so the first time that I see a patient, I like to give them a strategy or plan for what we're going to do.

I treat patients age 18 and older and I see a lot of patients who have multiple health issues, a lot of elderly patients with dementia as well as those with chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and hypertension.

I enjoy meeting my patients and getting to know their stories and encouraging their steps toward improved health.

When I am not seeing patients, I work as the chief medical informatics officer, dealing with all the electronic records implementation and supporting electronic records and systems for our providers to improve the patient experience as well as the provider experience, as well as management of population health strategies.

Outside of my work life, I am a marathon runner and enjoy music and love to travel.

Accepted Health Plans

Below is a list of plans accepted by all NorthBay Health providers unless designated as an independent community doctor.

While we strive to keep this list up to date, it's always a good idea to check with your health plan to determine the specific details of your coverage, and to contact the provider's office to verify acceptance of your particular plan.
